3 Masterclasses to become more successful with webinars

The masterclasses of WebinarGeek are all about reusing content. Now that the three masterclasses are over, it's time to list the most important information so you can easily read it back. Types of webinars
Let's start at the beginning, the types of webinars. Before you start, you choose between a live, automated, on-demand, or hybrid webinar. All live webinars you host (with or without viewers) are automatically recorded. Here's how you use and reuse each type of webinar.
A live webinar is, as the name suggests, a webinar that you present to your audience in real time. During live webinars, you are in direct contact with the viewers. Ideal for Q&A's, you answer incoming questions directly live in your webinar. If you are live you have no room to make mistakes, but no worries! This makes it authentic. Mistakes are human and therefore much appreciated.
Do you find it scary to present live in front of the camera? Then simply record a webinar and broadcast the recording as if it were live with an automated webinar. The ability to cut out mistakes may give you some peace of mind. An automated webinar plays at a selected date and time. This type is very suitable for reusing your previous live webinar without losing the live experience. During the broadcast, you chat with the participants yourself or you let a simulated chat play to create some more buzz. Tip! Make sure not to use a recording in which you wish the viewers a good morning while playing it back in the evening for example. Keep it general.
Do you want your webinar to be available for viewing at all times? Then an on demand webinar is what you need. You convert your live webinar to an on demand webinar super easily. This type is very useful for onboarding new colleagues or product demos. You send the registration link and someone can watch right away. The viewers simply leave questions in the question box that you follow up later! The downside? You don't create a FOMO feeling, so chances are you'll have fewer registrations.
Then there's the hybrid webinar. In a hybrid webinar, you first play the recording of a webinar and after the recording has ended you go live to answer any questions. This is perfect if you give the same webinar more often but still want to be in live contact with your target audience. With a hybrid webinar, you first start a video injection with the recording of your webinar, as soon as it ends you go live to answer all questions in real-time!
Reusing content
If you want to reuse a webinar then choose an automated, on demand, or hybrid webinar. To record your webinar you can host a live webinar (possibly without viewers). Do you want to completely automate the funnel? Then convert your replay to an automated or on demand webinar.
With an automated webinar, it is useful to set up a broadcast schedule. Your webinar then plays every time at a set time and date, without you having to do anything. It is also fun to add a simulated chat to create more buzz.
On demand webinars are immediately available to watch. For both the automated and on demand webinar, interactions you used during your live webinar are automatically copied or you can add them later. This way you keep collecting useful information!
What also works well is to share a small clip of your webinar on your socials. Your (potential) attendees then know what to expect, it stands out and you create a FOMO feeling.
To take it a step further, it is always good to turn your video content into written content by writing a blog about it. You might want to add a short video to the blog with the highlights and share the link to your upcoming webinar at the end of it.
Really want to get the most out of your webinar? Make it a podcast! Podcasts are increasingly popular. Creating a podcast of your webinar is a small effort, with a video editing program you can easily remove the video. Make sure that the sound is of good quality, otherwise, the listener will not enjoy it.
Sharing content
Now that you know how to choose the best type of webinar for your purpose, it's time to think about how you will reuse and share your webinar. One of the easiest ways to do this is to convert your live webinar to automated or on demand and post it on your webinar channel. A channel where you show all your webinars in an overview and which your target audience can subscribe to. It's incredibly useful because then they are informed right away when you add a new webinar!
With just a few clicks, you spread the link to your channel or registration page with a post on social media or place an embed or banner on your own website. In addition, your mailing list is incredibly valuable. You already have these contacts and they are already interested in your product or service. Have you collected quite a few signups? Great! Now it's time to actually attract your registrations to your webinar. Everyone forgets something once in a while, your participants probably do too. So send out a reminder email before the webinar starts. It's an easy way to share the viewing link again and give a heads-up. It works well to set up multiple reminders. An email a few days before the webinar starts and also one hour before you go live.
After the webinar ends
After the webinar ends, it's time to follow up with new, warm leads. Send an email with a unique offer or repeat the offer you made during the live webinar. You're still on top of their minds: time for action. Putting the most frequently asked questions in an overview and sending it to them always helps too. Even if you don't offer anything, you still remind them of your great webinar!
Despite all your hard work, there are probably still registrants who didn't watch your webinar. Give them a second chance and send the replay! Let them participate in your webinar and send the same unique offer as your live viewers received. A replay expiration date ensures FOMO (fear of missing out) and you also know when you can follow up with them as participants.
Promote the next webinar
The follow-up email is the perfect way to promote your next webinar. Especially if you received loads of good feedback! You can possibly adjust some elements in the webinars or emails to optimize your funnel and get even higher conversions. All you need to do is set up all these steps for your webinar. Collecting and following up on new leads is fully automatic.

You collect so much valuable data when you host a webinar! For example, you can see who registered, who watched, and for how long and the results of interactions that you have set up. You can use that to create segments to send personalized emails to. To collect as much data as possible, you add extra registration fields to the registration page. Here you can ask for example in what industry or company your participants work. Want to know through which platform you collect the most participants? The custom registration links are very useful for that! Later, you can see in the statistics what the most popular source of your registrations was. Of course, we will make sure that everything is processed in a GDPR-compliant way.
Analyzing data
After your webinar has ended, you'll have collected a whole load of useful data. You can see how long everyone watched, when most people watched (and when they dropped out), which link they used to sign up and the conversion rate of your registration page. Did a lot of viewers drop out around a certain point? Then you know you need to adjust your story a bit here. The same goes for your registration page. If it has a low conversion ratio, it's a good idea to make the page more attractive.
Setting up integrations
Linking an integration to your WebinarGeek account is one of the easiest ways to analyze your data automatically. Give registrations a tag such as viewer or non-viewer or create a segment based on their viewing time. Here you can find an overview of all integrations. Is your integration not listed? Use Zapier!
Send personalized emails
Have you created segments? Great! Then you can send personalized emails. If you do this based on viewer and non-viewer for example, you send the viewers a 50% discount and the non-viewers the replay. It's also a great way to send an invitation next webinar. If you have an integration set up, you even filter by viewing time. The viewers who watched until the end are the most valuable and that's where you (often) get the most out of.
Remarketing the flow
As you collect more and more data, it's time to optimize the flow. Someone who opens your mail is probably more interested in your product or service than someone who did not open it. Don't forget to adjust the flow accordingly and keep improving it.

Now that you have all the information in one place, it's time to get to work! Get the most out of your webinars without having to put in a lot of effort. The power of repetition always works very well and this is also the case with webinars. Become recognizable and an expert, and you'll find that your sign-ups grow.
